St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales was awarded the Louisiana Performance Excellence Award Tuesday, during a ceremony at the Governor’s Mansion. The Level III Award, the highest level in Louisiana for 2007, was presented by David Stoltz, president of the Louisiana Quality Foundation.
“In the eight years since the hospital was purchased (by the Franciscan Missionary) revenues have increased by 267 percent,” Stoltz said.
“The hospital currently employs about 460 team members, an increase of 225 percent since 2000.”
“The hospital has continued to go about its mission to serve those most in need while providing the highest quality and health care delivered in a compassionate manner,” he said.
